It was a warm (hot) day as Crossroads Chapel met to worship. We thank God for air conditioning so we could worship in comfort.
The Adult class studied “God speaks to His people’ from Exodus. In 3:1-6 “The Burning Bush”. God spoke to Moses through a burning bush while he was caring for his sheep. God s asked him to go speak to Pharoh and ask that he let His people go from slavery.
Exodus 3:11-15, Moses tried to argue that he wasn’t the person for the job. But God said tell the people that “I Am Who I Am” has sent me. In Exodus 4:28-31, Moses told his brother, Arron of God’s message so they went to the people and told them of what the Lord has said and they believed and worshiped.
Pastor Mark Henkel’s message was “Life in the Spirit” from Romans 8:1-11. Verses 1-4 - Say there is no condemnation to those that belong to Jesus and follow the laws of man. In verses 5-8 there is a difference in life as we follow God. We do the things that please Him and we have a life of peace.
In verses 9-11, the true believers are not controlled by the flesh, but will follow God, doing things that pleases Him. If we live by the spirit and follow Him we will have a life of love, joy, and peace. To hear Pastor Mark’s message go to wwwcrossroadsbaptistchapel.org and select weekly sermon.
