Crossroads Chapel had a blessed weekend.  Saturday, we hosted a wiener roast, games for all ages and a concert presented by Pastor Mark Henkel.  Following all this we welcomed the neighborhood to join in watching the Ameila Earhart fireworks show from the parking lot.   We want to thank the members and guest that joined in the special evening. The entire day was warm but a blessed day for all.

     The Adult Bible study was “A Gift in Christ, Is a life of fellowship with other believers.”   from 1 Corinthians 1: 1-13.    Paul was writing to the Corinthian church but the message is still the same today.  Our churches should be united with the same understanding and convections with no divisions among us.

     Pastor Mark Henkel’s message was “Knowing God” from John 14:1-11.  The question was “How do we know God? Or how do we show others God?  The disciples saw the miracles that Jesus preformed.  There are times in our live that we pray for a miracle (a healing or salvation of a loved one).  Did God answer?  We don’t know the direction or the full knowledge of the answer that God will give.  

What is our relationship with God?  Is it a personal one?  How knowledgeable are we of God’s direction?  In 1 Samuel, David came before Goliath and said,” I come in the name of the Lord of Host, the God of the armies of Israel.”  God blessed this young shepherd boy with a victory to save the armies.    

How do we pursue God?  How do we grow in the knowledge of God.  Do we give time to God?  2 Timothy 3:16 says: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”  

If we know His book, read His words, spend time with God our knowledge will never end.  Ephesians 1:17 says, “The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”
