Crossroads Chapel met to worship on a beautiful fall day. The rains have passed and the air was clean as we joined in praise to God.
The Adult Bible study was “God speaks through the Bible” from Psalm 19:7-14. We were reminded that God is perfect, trustworthy, wise, right, pure, and reliable. He can cleanse us from our hidden faults and guide our lives.
Pastor Mark Henkel’s message was “Receiving the Spirit and its Gifts”. As Jesus was speaking to His disciples, as it was nearing the time of His crucifixion, He reminded them to abide in Him as He would continue to be a part of them as they served Him and He would instruct them as they taught all nations, baptizing them in His name.
As the disciples continued spreading His word many believed and repented of sin and were baptized by the disciples and filled with the Spirit (Acts 2:37-42).
Paul also began spreading the message of Christ to the Corinthians. (1 Cor. 12:7-11) He shares that all that believe in the Spirit will be given gifts that can benefit the church. (Cor. 14:12) God’s power can work through all who believe and are filled with His Spirit.

Our prayers continued with some in the hospital, some suffering from injury, loss, and health issues. Our prayers are for these and also for the ones seeking life answers that only Jesus can give.
