James Franklin Riddle, 77, of Farley, Missouri, passed away on July 21, 2026, at St. Luke's North Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on May 30, 1949, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Charles R. Riddle and Mary J. (Meek) Riddle.
Frank is survived by his wife, Connie (Dover) Riddle of Farley, Missouri; his daughters, Katie Riddle-Freeman (Trent) of Fort Scott, Kansas, and Susan Riddle- Anderson of Farley, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Oriah Freeman, Zoé Anderson, and Declan Anderson. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Brenda (Ed) Lewis, Vicki (Chris) Burge, Rick (Theresa) Riddle, Mike (Terri) Riddle, and Doug (Trudi) Riddle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Mary J. Riddle; his sister, Bonnie J. Sissom; and his son, Matthew Franklin Riddle. Frank was a graduate of West Platte High School, Class of 1967, and attended Central Missouri State College. Frank married Connie in 1969 and shortly after was drafted into the Army.
Frank had fond memories of the time he was stationed at West Point, New York. He then went on to work as a carpenter until he retired. Frank was a member of Ridgely Christian Church.
Frank always enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and reminiscing about his life. A memorial service will be held on August 3, 2026, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgely Christian Church in Ridgely, Missouri, with Reverend Jimmy Porter presiding. The family would like to extend their gratitude to friends and family for their prayers, love, and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank’s name to Ridgely Christian Church.
