A public hearing, before the Planning and Zoning Commission of Platte County, Missouri, will be held on October 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Building, 415 Third Street (Room 211), Platte City, Missouri, to consider an application submitted by Terrance and Karen Moore to rezone from AG (Agricultural) to RE (Rural Estates). An action will be taken regarding this application. This action will not be final until the scheduled meeting is adjourned. The general location of the subject property is 24315 Park Road more particularly described as follows:
Legal Description:
Commencing at the South Quarter Corner of Section 35, Township 55 North, Range 37 West, Platte County, Missouri; thence along the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said section North 00 degrees 35 minutes 47 seconds East, 1671.20 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence departing from said line North 89 degrees 15 minutes 21 seconds West, 432.08 feet; thence North 33 degrees 02 minutes 37 seconds West, 206.93 feet; thence North 14 degrees 21 minutes 08 seconds West, 78.84 feet; thence North 14 degrees 03 minutes 54 seconds East, 184.61 feet; thence North 11 degrees 45 minutes 22 seconds East, 108.07 feet to the Buchanan and Platte County line; thence along said County line South 89 degrees 15 minutes 21 seconds East, 503.13 feet to the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said section; thence along said line South 00 degrees 35 minutes 47 seconds West, 533.82 feet to the Point of Beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 6.04 acres, more or less, and is subject to all recorded and unrecorded easements, restrictions, and right-of-ways.
Said rezoning application on the above described tract is on file in the Platte County Planning and Zoning Office, 415 Third Street, Room 016, Platte City, Missouri. The aforesaid hearing will be held in conformity with the provisions of Chapter 64 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri and the Platte County Zoning Order of 1990, as amended. In the event the meeting is canceled due to inclement weather or a lack of quorum, a special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission may be scheduled on a subsequent date. Further notice will not be given for any matters on the agenda of a canceled meeting, or the application referred to herein.
