It was a beautiful day to worship at Crossroads Chapel.  The smiling faces and warm hearts made the experience even greater.

The Adult Bible study was “A Way to Serve” from 1 Corinthians 12:12-24.  There are many ways we can serve God and others.  We follow Christ example each day as we help and serve.

Pastor Mark Henkel’s message was “On the Basis of love.” From Philemon 1: 4-15.  Paul was writing to Philemon a fellow worker leading others in his home. He was asking a favor of Philemon since Paul had met a man Onesimus and he was a great help to Paul.  Onesimus, was a runaway slave owned by Philemon.  Paul shared that Onesimus was not only a servant but also a brother in Christ.   He wanted him to do the right thing in Christian duty.  As a church we do a duty to serve others through the love of God.  We love others because Christ first loved us and died for our sins.    God loved us and sent his Son, 1 John 4:9-11.  Jesus taught us to love and we should follow his example as we love and serve our fellow men.

To hear Pastor Mark’s message go to www.crossroadsbaptistchapel.org and select weekly sermon. Crossroads Chapel was privileged to deliver some school supplies to the Rushville School this week.  We pray these item help students have a great experience at school.

On August 30th,  Crossroads Chapel morning worship will be a praise service lead by Pastor Mark.  Following the service we will be having our Fifth Sunday pot luck dinner.  All are welcome.
